SammIT LLC ("we," "us," "our") provides residential and small-business IT support in Northern Virginia. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit sammitnova.com, contact us, or hire us for service, and how we use and protect that information.
1. Information we collect
- Contact information you give us — name, email, phone number, service address, and any details you share when you fill out our contact form, request a quote, send us an email, or call/text us.
- Service records — notes about the work performed, device information, and any photos you authorize us to take for documentation.
- Billing information — invoice history, payment status, and amounts. We do not store credit-card numbers; payments are processed by third-party providers (Wave, Stripe, or similar).
- Website analytics — basic visit data (pages viewed, referrer, approximate location from IP, device type). We do not use cross-site advertising trackers.
2. How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiries and schedule service.
- To perform the IT services you hired us for.
- To send appointment confirmations, arrival notices, job-completion follow-ups, and invoices.
- To send occasional service tips and announcements only if you opt in.
- To keep records required by law (tax records, service history).
3. Who we share information with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share limited data only with:
- Service providers we use to run the business — HubSpot (CRM), Brevo (transactional email), Twilio (SMS and voice), Wave (invoicing), and Netlify (website hosting). Each of these handles your data under their own published privacy policies.
- Law enforcement or regulators if we are legally required to do so.
4. Text messaging (SMS)
If you provide your phone number, we may contact you by SMS for appointment confirmations, arrival notices, job-completion follow-ups, and direct replies to questions you ask us. 5. Cookies
sammitnova.com uses only essential cookies needed for the site to function and basic analytics cookies to understand which pages are visited. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
6. Your choices
- You can ask us at any time what information we have about you.
- You can ask us to correct or delete your information (subject to records we are required by law to keep, e.g. tax records).
- You can opt out of text messages by replying STOP to any SMS we send, or by emailing us.
- You can opt out of email by clicking the unsubscribe link in any message.
7. Security
We use reasonable physical, technical, and administrative measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), least-privilege access to our CRM and tooling, and locked storage for any physical records. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we will notify affected clients promptly if we become aware of a breach involving their personal information.
8. Children
Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top of this page will show when it was last changed. Substantive changes will be announced on the homepage for at least 30 days.
